Painting with the eastern eyed click bug
For some reason I have decided to put off beading and work on projects today. It was time to paint the big metal seat swing. I suppose it would be a porch swing, but we don't have a porch. The painting went well, although I do need one more can of paint.
The only glitch was the bombardment of eastern eyed click bugs. I have never laid eyes on these things before. I am not sure if it was my blue shirt or the lovely aroma of Rust-oleum that sent them my way-but it was something. Towards the end I was glad I ran short of paint because these things would not leave me alone. Having taken my share of nature study courses in college I can't believe I have never encountered these things. I think I may have skipped a few insect labs. You see-you should never skip class as you can never tell when or where the information missed may come in handy.

Spring Inspirations
Here are the beginnings of the necklace that lead to a wild goose chase to find a shirt to compliment it. I think most people find accessories to match their wardrobe-not the other way around! I was so inspired by the colors of a necklace in the latest edition of Stringing Magazine that I could not help but put this together. I ended up with two different necklaces in the coral-lime-turquoise color array. I guess it helps to have a large stash of beads on hand.

Beading Season is Upon Me!
Here is my first attempt at setting up a blog. This is probably something I should have done a long time ago. My fourth summer beading season is right around the corner, and I know my return customers will be anxious to see what I have in store for them.
I am in the beginning stages of setting up a store on etsy to compliment my ebay sales. I love the community on etsy and hope to eventually base most of my sales from the etsy site.
This has been a wonderful school year and thus I don't have quite the "bead itch" I usually do this time of year. Last Spring, at this time, I had beads on the brain. I could hardly wait to get into the bead room full time. This year my mind is filled with colors and ideas, but in a more calm manner than last year.
